Bighorn sheep were likely much more common many years ago, and their slow recovery is somewhat mysterious. Change in habitat is one potential reason, and we will look at a wide range of habitats across NW Wyoming over the last century or so, via repeat photography.

Mike Merigliano, our speaker, is a plant ecologist, and has worked in the Northern Rockies for the last 40 years. He has worked for state and federal agencies, as well as a university. These days, he is a free-lance independent scientist. He earned his PhD at the University of Montana in 1996.
